Gunner Tribute
Among other things at the Gunlicks Tribute event on Saturday May, 2nd, there will be an opportunity for well-wishers to give a personal thank you to Ken Gunlicks via video tape. Eric Sarley, a 2008 IHS graduate and Digital Media technology major, has generously offered to video tape greetings, transfer them to a DVD and give it to Mr. Gunlicks for his enjoyment. The video taping will be on location, in a semi-quiet area and limited to a maximum of 2 minutes for an individuals greeting. Look for additional information via signage or in the program the night of the Event. Think ahead, you probably have a great memory to share with Mr. Gunlicks.
Bakery Needed for Reception
Bakery is needed for the reception immediatley following the Ken Gunlicks Tribute Event on May 2, 2009.
The hospitality committee for the Tribute Event is requesting baked goods. We have chocolate chip, peanut butter chip and shortbread cookies being donated. Anything else would be greatly appreciated. Bakery can be dropped off at IHS Cafeteria on Fri. May 1 between 2-4pm, or between 4:30-6:30PM on Sat. May 2 before the Event. Donation for a "Special Gift" to Ken
The Tribute Committee will announce a very special gift to Ken Gunlicks in honor of his 34 years of service and dedication to the Independence Music Program during the May 2nd Tribute. Envelopes will be provided at the Tribute event for donations towards this gift, and donors will be acknowledged to Ken Gunlicks. Several donations have been received with much gratitude and donors can be viewed on the gunnertribute.com website. Checks can be made out to the IHS Music Boosters who have taken on the responsibility for payment of this gift. Please join in the celebration!
